Small Crocheted Things

I've made a small pile of crocheted things recently; three owl coasters and a bookmark:

All the owl coasters I'm giving away, so they are very much non-matching and that is 100% okay. I do hope the recipients like them!

Pattern: African Flower Owl (Ravelry mine 2 3)
Yarn: DMC Senso Cotton and Microfiber Cotton
Hook: USD/3.25 mm
Timeframe: September 30 and October 6, 2015
Mods: Used buttons for eyes and didn't add a beak.
Problems: None!

The bookmark is a pattern I've crocheted a few times before and I have always enjoyed it. I just need to figure out where my other ones went - I could have sworn I had one or two more lying around!

Pattern: Spider to Web Bookmark (Ravelry mine)
Yarn: Patons Classic Wool in Old Gold and some black wool from Japan
Hook: USE/3.5 mm
Timeframe: October 7 - 8, 2015
Mods: None.  Excellent pattern.
Problems: None!

September Socks

I finished two pairs of socks in September, one brand-new mystery pair and one of the original mateless socks, leaving two single sock UFOs. I've of course started a new pair for October, and maybe I'll get back to one of the sad single socks if I finish this one quickly enough!

Pattern: Cauchy (Ravelry mine)
Yarn: Alchemy: Yarns of Transformation Juniper
Needles: US1/2.25mm and US1.5/2.5mm
Timeframe: March 30 - October 2, 2015
Mods: Added a couple of stitches per pattern repeat so it would fit my food, lengthened the heel flap, and mirrored the pattern on the second sock.
Problems: See here.

The pattern kind of gets lost in the yarn, but that's okay. I like them just the way they are! There are better pictures of the next pattern, including a blurry on-the-foot picture on my Ravelry page, but I'm posting what I got!

Pattern: Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. (Ravelry mine)
Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll (now Essential) in Ash
Needles: US1.5/2.5mm
Beads: 74 size 08 hematite-colored beads, they're awesome with this yarn!
Timeframe: September 17 - 30, 2015
Mods: None, though I would have started the heel increases earlier if it weren't a mystery sock.
Problems: They are just smaller than I like them, so the last bead on the heel sometimes pulls under my foot.
