February: The False Start Month?

Here we have a third partially-done project that has been rejected and sent to the frog pond. This time, the yarn won't be returning, at least not for awhile. I really want this yarn to be something, but I have actual plans for enough other socks that this yarn can go back to marinating in the stash for awhile longer.

I attempted Wassup Rufus? but my feet have high insteps. I can't fit it over my heel. I hoped the lace bits between the chevron panels would have enough give, but alas, they do not!
