Soap Sack Attempt

My mom used to have a washcloth that held soap so you could either keep the soap in it or use up the soap completely, tossing the shards in and using them up until they were gone. She wanted another something like that and since I had a reasonable yarn in the stash, I thought I'd make a quick soap sack for her and another for myself (and a couple more to use up the yarn completely). I tried one pattern, but alas, while the pattern said gauge was not important, the pattern lied:

So my soap sack is no more, and I shall try to make another one. Probably one without lace bits where the last little bits of soap can stick through.
