February Frenzy: Day 8

On Friday I gave a learn-to-knit class for the Purdue Makers Club and made a coaster as the demonstration piece:

Pattern: The Purtiest Coaster (Ravelry)

Yarn: Caron Simply Soft.

Needles: US10/6.0mm

Timeframe: February 8, 2012

Mods: Knit 'til it was square rather than for 4.5" as written.

Problems: None!

It's a nice, quick project that has knit and purl and all the necessary beginning steps for beginning knitters, and can (mostly) get done in 2 hours.

What's Goin' On:

Day 1: Sheldon Pirate Shell (modifying hat, not yet finished)
Day 2: Bear Hat
Day 3: V-Day Cross Stitch (stitched, not yet finished)
Day 4: Sock #1 (finished! but needs a mate)
Day 5: Dyed Roving (finished! but needs to be spun)
Day 6: Sock #2 (not even close)
Day 7: Baby Bootie (finished! but needs a mate)
Day 8: Coaster
