...Something Finished...

Wooo! First project of 2014!

Pattern: Henry's Blanket (mine)
Yarn: Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Superwash in Briar Heather, White, Celestial, and Semolina
Needles: US6/4.0mm
Timeframe: January 2 - 22, 2014
Mods: Shortened the center a bit due to slightly smaller gauge, added the baby's initials instead of the felted rabbit for the center design.
Problems: The gauge differences between the basketweave, stockinette, and colorwork sections means it doesn't quite sit flat, and I'm not thrilled with how the duplicate stitch initials came out, but I'm not too disappointed either.

Duplicate stitch works a lot better when going in rows, not columns. The rows of the letters look great, but the columns are a bit odd. Not a major problem, I just wonder if some kind of embroidered letter would have looked better than the duplicate stitched ones do. I'm not curious enough to re-do it though!
